Wouldnt necessarily agree that Eddie is a great inovator.We were talking once and he told me that he had not once invented a bit of tackle but had merely taken what he had seen used by others and developed it! I would say that a noticeable thing when you fish with him is that like many of the greats he is always working at his fishing.Fiddling here adjusting there!you know what I mean? Also very driven.

 

As for Gord you are 100% right there a true lure legend.Never fished with him as such but read everything he has wrote and spent time chatting to him when he came down to Bough Beech.One of the few fishing "heros" I have had,met and not been disapointed by.

 

Nev,well its all been said I suppose!I am lucky enough to have always been lucky enough to get out of fishing with him!Seriously though deserves his place up with the rest.

My personal opinion is that, whilst he may be a good angler, JW does very little explaining, preferring to let people see how clever HE is in catching all these fish that no one else can do as they are not allowed to fish whilst he is filming, and that Laugh.......

Matt Hayes on the other hand, likes to explain how to mix ground bait,terminal set ups,hooks, lines etc. He also usually has guests, even if it is Mick Brown, and does fish along with the 'pleb' anglers at the lakes.

Plus, the main point, they are ANGLERS, not specialist anglers for Pike etc., they fish for ALL species.
