Right I'm new to carp fishing I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on what rigs I should use and what I need to make them and what baits work best for this time of year would be a great help

Welcome to a great sport but beware of being suckered in. There is no such thing as a wonder rig or bait. My advice would be to stick to something basic for rigs such as a knotless knot type setup and use a good quality bait. Some of the baits from Pallatrax are sufficiently different from the crowd and catch a lot of fish. They stay on well which is important when night fishing.
