Shore fishing for a beginner

Hello All,

 

I've started coarse fishing this summer with my 6 year old and we're both loving it. We're going to fuertaventura in a couple of weeks and I've seen videos of people fishing from rocks next to the beach. I'm wondering whether I need a different rod or can we use the rods we use for coarse fishing which are;

If I can use these do I just need to attach lures to the line?
