Off for a stay in hospital

Well, I have just been informed that I am to be admitted to hospital on Tuesday. My first experience of the French medical service as an inpatient.

For a while now my diabetes has been very unstable with my blood sugar all over the place, but mostly too high, so they have decided to take me in and keep me in for as long as it takes to get it stabilised properly. They expect 5 days to a week.

I'm hoping that they will also refer me to a couple of other services whilst I'm there. Neurolgy or the pain clinic to see if the can do something about the neuropathic (nerve) pain I have in my arms and legs. It might mean that I can exercise more which would be helpful with the blood sugar.

I'm sure I will also have an argument on my hands over statins. It will be interesting to find out what my cholesterol levels actually are after 5 years of neglect.

The hospital looks great, very clean and well organised and I have no concerns about the level of care. Communication may be a bit of a problem though as my French is probably not up to detailed descriptions of technical terms.

The other thing I am concerned about is the food which I understand is a bit thin on the ground and possibly contains some "stuff" not normally considered edible,

Still, after some of the recent reports on the UKs NHS I think that I am probably in the right place.

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:
