Why not get some decent photos when trying for those prices?

I have the same reel still boxed and in perfect condition which I bought off e-bay for £140 plus P&P about three years ago. I've seen them fetch a bit more than that since but I'd be surprised if one got anywhere near £200 now, I don't think we'll be seeing any bids on this particular reel.

Dave Swallow reels are very good, they're ballraced and very robust but in my mind too heavy for all day trotting antics.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Chris, I think you got yours at a very good price bud and would make a few quid back on it if you decided to shift it on. I think the going rate seems to be about £200 for a good un so the one advertised may fetch a few quid more if it is unused (you never know until they arrive as the sellers can often either tell porkys or be unaware of a reels use/history ).

As Newt says you'd think the seller would take some decent pic's, even more so when asking a crazy price !

From some of the shadows cast the pictures look as if they have been taken with a fixed focus phone, rather than with a proper camera

When I was forced to sell of my original pin collection a few years back (2004?) I sold a mint condition (I brought it new and only used it three times and didn't like the weight or poor start up) Dave Swallow for £200 (if I remember right about what I paid for it new) Think the guy is having a giraffe! BUT I have noticed a slow but steady trend of the prices of "modern" pins increasing and a lowering of classics. For Example our own AN Pins have risen in price on the second hand market while the price of "usable" Match Aerials has come down (yes pristine "collecters" example still fetch a good price but no where near the £300 I got for mine while £75 will get you a working but "naked" one!)

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Out of interest, what do people reckon a good condition AN pin (mine is one of the originals, with the handles) and a good condition Sheffield (again, one of the originals) would go for?

Not that I'm planning on selling either, just interested.
