MP3 Question

i think (i may be wrong) that the bit rate is decided at the time of encoding to mp3, not when encoding back to .cda as the bit rate for a regular 44.1khz cd player is different to an mp3 player

i've just re read your post, i thought you were trying to burn cd's of mp3's, not the other way round, i use nero for this which gives you full variable bit rate, i think music match does too, what program are you using? if you're trying to turn cd's into mp3s you're right in trying to get them as a high a rate as possible
