I know people rave about them but I would hate to lugg one of them round with me !

Ian I have one and use it sometimes whilst static Pike deadbaiting ,beware of wind direction though upset some carpers once when it changed just after lighting and a smoke plume bellowed across the lake smoking them out....they was not happy .

They are a bit lumpy to darg around for just wandering

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:

What did you think of yours Den?

Used mine for weekend camping/fishing trips for a year or so. Couldn't control the flame, but did cook mushrooms and sausages and fried eggs :) plenty of tea as well. Seem to remember a pint of meths would last all weekend.

Had a nasty disaster with mine, I was heating up some milk and took the saucepan off and knocked the stove over..............burning meths all down one leg and on the bedding................my mate tipped the saucepan of milk on the flames................most went on me! So I ended up in hospital with a very badly burnt/scalded knee. Still got the scars.

Apart from all that, it worked really well :)

Like Tigger, I now take a flask as most sessions only last about 6 hours on the beach, and I tend to have lots of little drinks.

Den

"When through the woods and forest glades I wanderAnd hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,And hear the brook, and feel the breeze;and see the waves crash on the shore,Then sings my soul..................

Rusty

I enjoyed your documentary program, but it was too short. I was just getting into the plot and beginning to empathise with the characters when it finished.

What happens next?

Next installment please. This could run and run

I believe one of the American networks is interested in running it for a pilot under the name a Stove to far ,wonder who will play me George Cloony/Brad Pitt the list goes on

Haven't you made your burner yet? The video was only five minutes long! I dread to think how you come up with a quote for your clients.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

With meths at 15 quid a gallon and paraffin at 7 quid i will stick to my trusty camping gaz stoves and lights (and heater) i have enough carts stored to last a few years even the rare ones!

As modern beer cans are aluminium any decent output would melt them so cannot heat water to boiling point i am sure
