Marks out of ten for the TFG Force 8 bivvy have just been updated from 10/10 to TBA. Didn't break anywhere near where I thought it might, one of the plastic hinges broke. Glued the spoke back in with Araldite, going to rebuild the housing with epoxy putty, just hope that will hold it. It won't fall down without it, and I will get away with it, but it won't be right.

Steve, I think you can get new parts from fishtec.

I did look at their parts sheet, but it was things like grommets and feet - I don't think there is any way to disassemble the frame. I think what I might do if it doesn't work is replace the hinge with a ferrule.

Firstly, I'd like to remind all guests that you aren't allowed to cast within 20 yards of the barley straw bales. And don't forget that they're anchored at one end so they'll swing round in the wind. There's a black float at the end they're anchored.

Finally, please do go onto the topic where Vagabond is kindly auctioning off some tackle in aid of the bailiffs. Doing their job actually costs them money - you don't get many miles per gallon in 1st gear in a 4WD! You can find the topic at http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/5767424-vintage-tackle-auction-at-the-wingham-fish-in/.

Repair didn't hold, but a local engineering firm very kindly gave me a length of stainless steel tube and just asked me to put a couple of quid in the next charity box I come across.

So that's one thing I don't have to worry about now.

Right. Looks like we are going to have great weather for the weekend, so must remember:

Hat

Sun block

Will need to knock off early today so I can run through my gear and then nip to the tackle shop for anything I've missed.

Good luck to all.

I hope you've got similar weather down there as we have up North, but hopefully with a bit more cloud cover. It's a bit too bright for daylight fishing, but bodes well for dawn/evening sessions.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
