They should have tasered him for arguing: and the video would have been more entertaining.

Thanks for clearing that up. So he swore at them, one of them (at least one) thought he used the word "pleb" ? My god, the man should be hung for that :)

My take on this is that there has to be an element of truth in the story, most coppers wouldn't care if you called them a pleb would they? maybe now, but not before this all blew up?

Just what is a pleb that makes it such an issue anyway?

The guy swore, copper got the 'ump, guy denies swearing, copper digs his heels in, guy admits swearing but not using the word pleb, so hopes it will all blow over. Some hopes as the Sun got the story :)

The stupid copper who then got involved and "tried to help his mate" is/was a fool, and will be punished for it.

I am not so sure that the coppers had any "political motive," just doing their jobs and having to put up with an arrogant MP on a bike swearing at them. They are, after all, just blokes trying to do a job, maybe a bit macho though..............goes with being an armed man guarding our gov't buildings and staff surely?

All seems a bit like Clintons denial "I did not have sex with that woman" just a little blow job :) :)

Spot on no political motive involved thats just another way of stiring thing up mr mitchel swore at the officers thats good enough supposedly coming from a high ranking politician now if he had been caught on microphone like swearing at the officers like gordan brown was and made headline news i think he would have had the bullet anyway he has wrigled on technicality he SWORE at the officers and has got away with it he probably called them pigs or soemthing on that lines so there backs would have been up anyway the man has got away with it but is still guilty and people know it .

At last, the first apology to mr Mitchell by the police governor Big Cod, only another 10 :busted_cop: serving coppers to go, who are going to face gross misconduct charges, big cod. :busted_cop: Think he might just get another apology or two, and hopefully it leaves the way for him to sue the pants off them.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Probably could be taken as quite an insult then? Especially coming from an MP :)

What's the world coming to? An MP Sir Richard Ottaway, saying that a policeman lying, "brings the whole Met into disrepute".

Talk about 'pot calling kettle'! Do these people actually understand what they are saying, and do they live in the same world as the rest of us?

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

They certainly do have things to lose ,the association of chief police officers which appear to run things is actually a company and above replying to freedom of information requests

Not the most transparent way to run the police and maintain trust
