thanks for your help people. newt, i cant find details of the card? i have gone into "my computor"-"system" but after that i cant see anything that refers to a grafics card?. i do remember coming across the details when i was looking for something else a month ago- but ive spent an hour now trying to find it, and im blowed if i can!!!its driving me nuts!i told you i was a computor dunce!!! :confused:

right click my computer.......

 

properties......... will put up a box.

 

select the tab 'Hardware'

 

Click 'device manager'

 

about three down should be display devices and should show you the card details.

hi huge -vitae, i have got through to the contents of the computor,(via the display manager section) but i have nothing there that says"display devices" or graphics card?there is a box that says "display adapters" is that how the graphics card is listed?sorry to be so thick on this.cheers.

hi ive found the card at long last. an S3 Trio 64V+ Pci(765)it says the manufacturor is S3 hardware version068.i was going to follow newts suggestion. who is s3 when they are at home!!!?!
