A silly MS Outlook Question

Accessing Outlook through the toolbar in Interne Explorer presents a box for username and password after a few seconds.

There is however a bow labled "Remember Password" that's greyed out.

 

If there a nice simple way to get my machine to remember my password or an I stuck with typing it in ?

Why would you be accessing outlook via internet explorer ?

 

What OS r u using ?

 

Wo version of outlook r u using ? Express, Light ? etc ...

Ken L - are you talking Microsoft Outlook - the business related email package with calendar, scheduler, task list, etc.

 

More likely you meant Outlook Express?

 

Approaches to fixing your password issue will be very different depending on which application.

My appologies gentlemen.

The machine runs XP and I usually get into my e-mail (and you're quite right that it's Outlook Express" rather than "Outlook") through the "Mail" icon that sits on the "Standard Buttons" toolbar in "Internet Explorer".

seem to think it is an option to save ya password.

 

open the program then go to:

 

tools >> accounts >> mail

 

ensure its set as default

 

i am not sure if this is the problem but maybe it might just help.

 

p.s. if the box is checked etc then it should remeber ure password all the time

Hmm.

So I can either live with it or blunder into the registry like a bull in a china shop and risk buggering up the whole machine....

I think I'll live with it.
