I am currently running a trial version of EZ firewall on my PC. My o/s is Windows XP. Can someone recommend a good free to download firewall to use, or is the XP firewall good enough?

broadband is even more unsafe at least with my dialup its turned off now and again :D

i had a bad case with mcaffee long ago when the sampo virus was about (sampo had very little effect on a machine unlike todays beasts) i used to take downloaded stuff home on floppies (those were the days) anyway on downloading onto floppy the virus checker on the works machine popped up with sampo virus found " then "sampo virus destroyed" etc on going home my nortons came up with a virus warning guess what it was sampo that mcaffee allegedly had destroyed

i never forget and so wont entertain mcaffee :(

We don't leave it on all the time but the phone rings at the same time that you are on. Good or bad depending which way you look at it. McAfee also lets you sort through IP addresses safe and not so much. Wireless is the way
