Scanner Advice Please..Again

Sorry have been oonot too well plus trying to get assignment finished..it went off this morning thank good ness.I have the scan jet ie.the one in the picture comming this week.

Scanner arrived yesterday!!!!!!

 

going back tomorrow!!!!!

 

 

Afraid to say I have addmitted defeat!! I kept getting an error message when trying to install!!!

 

managed to send 1 email with it and that was it,would not work at all today,,could I mneed more memory?

 

I found the software not very easy ....so its back to the drwing board...Micks scanner sounds ok as long as its idiot proof...

To get decent scanning performance you should ideally have 512 Mb of memory or more. Do you know how much you've got?

 

When I bought a scanner for my previously 64Mb 1998 PC, it wouldn't work at all. I bought an extra 256 Mb of memory, giving a total of 320Mb, and it works fine.

As to laptops, one of the MESH ones got a best buy in PC Buyer magazine just recently. I'll dig it out and let you know.

It's the MESH Pegasus 64 3400+ However it's quite big and doubles as desk top replacement. It's also a grand!

How do I find out how much memory I have...... remember words of 1 sylable please...

right click on "my computer"and go to properties,its under computer on the page that opens at the bottom
