nortons naughtyness

despite trawling the symantec site for hints i cannot disable the security alert notice that pops up every few seconds warning me that my firewall is off ,some web pages wont load with it up but it triggers nortons warning me its off (i turned it off i should know :mad: ) and its getting me annoyed :mad: ,and if i'm not on the web and not needing the firewall or virus scanner it still insists i run them :mad:

any tips to disable this devil spawned notice in nortons 2002

Ditch the rubbish and install the free version of AVG.
