Zone alarm problem

I installed Zone alarm last night. Following Kendo's recommendation, I switched off my windows firewall. When I switched on this morning, I got a message saying Zone Alarm has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. Why?

I am running XP with, adaware, Spybot, Avast and Hijack this installed.

Help?

kleinboet turn your windows firewall back on for now.then do a virus scan,then uninstall zone alarm using add remove programmes,then download zone alarm again it could be that you didn't recieve all the files,latest edition of zone alarm as I understand it is version 5.5.
