Outlook express problem

I've just set up a btinternet account and can send emails but can't receive.

 

This is the message I get...

 

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

 

Any ideas?

1. Try again later.

 

2. Delete the email account and set it up again, be extra sure you have the correct names for the BT POP3 and SMTP servers.

Tick the authentication box at the bottom

if you use microsoft outlook office as your mail handling program as you add info into your setup you can then check your connection etc to confirm you are communicating with the outside world it also runs a diary organiser interlinked
