Is it showing real-time data?

" My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!" - Harry Truman, 33rd US President

Weather models are great these days but they are still not properly getting a handle on what will be a very stormy and dangerous 4-5 day period across the British Isles. What they are showing is weather which is not only likely to cause significant disruption to travel but also dangerous conditions where falling trees, flooding and overturned lorries are all likely.

As usual we at Metcheck will keep you up to date with all the developments, but.... and it's not often we do this, but please let any friends or family (even the in-laws) know of the seriousness of the situation over the next few days. We would advise you to try and move your travel plans away from the following time windows :-

Monday 23rd between 12pm and 9pm

Tuesday 24th between 10am and midnight (Scotland and Northern Ireland especially)

Friday 27th between 1am and 9pm

These are the time windows that we are expecting severe weather across many parts of the British Isles. Please retweet this or post this on your facebook or even print it out and stick it on the fridge to let your loved ones know.
