Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Strange fact is we had one installed thinking it would save money but infact it went up ,water use still the same but standing charges increased ,we often use less water than the costs of the standing charges ,its a con

Chesters1 tip if your gutters do not connect to your sewer you can save a few quid a year if you tell the sewerage lot ,another thing they dont tell you

Rudd the wind did seem to be at it's strongest around 3am. I work east Ipswich and the windows and consevatory of the building I was working in was making some very loud creaking noises.

Also along Foxhall road there was lots of weely bins blown all over the place and into parked cars.

Luckily on my drive home to west Suffolk there was only one small tree blown over into the road so apart from some standing water my journey was uneventful.

Smile they said life could get worse, I did and it was

Biggest wind gust locally of 'only' 44.1mph though it will be interesting to find out what the daily wind run will be. Prodigious amount of rain though - local weather site recorded 51.6mm...

I used to fish the resevoir at Burham.

Strange thing was that when the river rose, it would start emptying rapidly.

I'd often have to move down the slope as the 'tide' went out.

The problem was that the stuff coming down the river after heavy rainfall contained too much diffuse pollution from farm pesticides and road run-off to be used to fill the resevoir for drinking water.

And of course many storm water drainage systems over stress the sewage system causing raw sewage to also be diverted into the flow.

Rather water was extracted and pumped when the river was low, the water settled and the pollutants flushed out to sea.

So, when there was lots of rainy weather the resevoir levels would sink lower and lower, and only start to rise again after a prolonged dry spell.

Heard a weatherman this morning who's obviously no fan of the Queen's Speech on Christmas Day

"Windsor set to ruin Christmas for many"
