Firefox bookmarks

Where does Firefox save the bookmarks on your pc as i want to back them up so i dont lose them when i format the pc.

Bookmarks - manage bookmarks.

 

In this window go to File > Export.

 

This saves them as a webbie on your computer. When you want to restore your bookmarks, simply go to "manage bookmarks" again and navigate to the exported file.

Nice one emz. I been trying to figure that out for hours. Why does it save it as HTML?

Not sure exactly how it works tbh, but it saves it in such a way that it can be imported back into the folders etc. Basically exactly the same way it was before you exported them.

 

Its pretty neat to look at all your bookmarks as a html file tho. Tho if your like me and have got hundreds of bookmarks, you could be scrolling for ages :S

Just a note for anyone who can't access that folder (Application Data)...

 

If you haven't already, you will need to enable windows to show hidden folders

To do that, you need go to Tools > Folder Options > View and check "show hidden files and folders"
