Windows Media Player

I can't open Windows Media Player.

I have tried double left click on downloaded music and video files...nothing.

Right click on icon and instruct to "OPEN"....nothing.

I can open the files in real Player and Quick Time.

This has just happened today, I have done nothing different, nor installed anything extra etc.

Any ideas please ?

Hi Cranfield ..

If it's WMP V9 I've had quite a few problems with it myself. I've usually found that deleting WMP .. then re-installing .. does the trick.

The Older I get .. The better I was.

i think you'll find the prob is wmp dosnt like running alongside real player and quick time try to use one or the other if you must use wmp then try VLC alongside and get rid of the other two

I think they are ok so long as you assign media types to 1 individual player rather than having them all think they are the default player. I let wmp play all music and film files and use real player for radio and watching things on bbc website.
