Elton? Great day out?

Colin Penny mailed me last year. Said he had a spare place for me. And? I`d be fishing with a respected angling journalist!

I ended up fishing next to Norman B again!

Just as well I like uncle Norm. Very few have seen Norman stand up in a pub and declare. "No! It`s my round!"

Norm. If Henry Gilbey can`t make it, there`s a few days fishing going free, the last week of September, out of Dartmouth. Norrie will be on hand to eat your bacon sarnie!

Take aboard a one of those disposable barbies and invite him to hang it off the blunt end of the boat so you can cook your catch as you land it - Nowt fresher than that mate

Whilst I think their manifesto is a complete non-sense, after reading it from start to finish and back tracking, I did not see a mention of angling. :confused:

 

Fish Farming and by catches of commercial fishing was mentioned.

 

I might cause the odd frown by declaring that the greens are a complete load of idiots but they certainly won't get any votes from meat eaters.

 

I failed to see a mention of alternative power which if I wanted to promote the party line I would have made it the flag ship issue. :confused:

 

Having said all that perhaps the greens are catching on to the power of the voting angler

Yes Hugh did get heavily criticised for the bass "episode" & quite rightly so. I was one of the 1st to criticise him via the forum on his website, which he duly apologised for. Doesn't make it right, but it's a step in the right direction & makes him realise he is publicly accountable.

 

I shall give an honest report of my day out.

 

For those veterans of boat fishing out of Weymouth, where can I expect to go & what are we likely to be targeting ? I expect to go wrecking(?), other than that I don't have a clue ...
