There is a circulation to your west that has 95mph winds in its SE quadrant and it certainly looks to be headed your way.

30 to 40 waves battering some parts of the West coast last night and early this morning. All quiet on our side, east, as yet no winds or rain, but they are a coming over e3900.gif

Bloody bus dropped us in it yesterday ,caught bus at usual stop going to town but the road was flooded by the river ,silly car conked out in middle stopped the bus getting past .

Heard driver on phone relaying a new route from his masters which went miles off course and told him i could get him around the flood and not even miss a stop ,i stood at front and directed and we got to town without further commotion.

On getting return bus the driver said he couldnt take us to my stop as the river was flooded ,i pointed out i knew this by waving the ticket under his nose (it was a return ticket) i told him about the diversion i knew but he said the master at aldershot had given him a route and he was going to stick to it .

We had no choice but get a taxi costing £14 because he also wouldnt go my way but insisted on his way (not as big a diversion as the bus the town was the nearest that it would get!)

I emailed stagecoach complaining they had made a contract with me as i had a return but they merely pointed out their terms and conditions where it says they can refuse to take a passenger for any reason and you can jump for the money you spent on the return and the taxi fare

Send Stagecoach an invoice for £20 "Route Consultant's Fee" plus £14 travel expenses.

If they still won't cough up, contact a local news reporter - there is a "name and shame" story there.

They emailed back ,thanked me for helping their driver around the flood then said police closed road so their hands were tied ,i doubt they closed the alternate route (they closed the road at the only other crossing so plausible) but what can you do their terms and conditions cover everything possible, not a sniff of the unused return fare so i doubt anything more

I doubt greatly the controller knew of the alternate routes but the diversion cut out every stop to godalming and beyond all the villages were missed although i know routes round every flood point as locals do as its a far more regular occurrence than most places in the country ,they get it worse but rarely ,as i mentioned our village has permanent flood warning notices

On the bright side i always wondered wht there was the stump of a tree in a strange place in one of the fields below me ,now its flooded it can be seen to be on an island unnoticeable at any other time

as i mentioned our village has permanent flood warning notices

We've got a permanent *Ice* sign on the A337 near Lymington.

You'd think it might be better all round to deal with the water run-off that gets onto the road at that point - familiarity breeds contempt and all that - it's obviously only frozen on a few days every year.

There's a permanent *Flood* sign a couple of miles further along in a very obvious dip which actually rarely floods and even when it does it goes quickly - there's many places nearby which flood more regularly, take several days to disappear, and don't have any signage.

Found a two hour gap in the incessant rain yesterday, and went for a walk (well, a wade actually) on the sodden turf of the high point of Ashdown Forest.

Encountered three different "mixed flocks" of birds

1. Winter thrushes (redwings and fieldfares)

2. Huge flock of titmice (great, blue, cole)

3. Chaffinches and bramblings, and for once the bramblings outnumbered the chaffinches.

Our recent trip to Victoria and Tas coincided with an exceptionally cool southern summer. OK by us, but the Aussies kept complaining of how cold it was.

Both birds and fish were scarcer than usual due to the non-arrival of their scorching summer, and although we saw over a hundred species of birds, and caught a score of different fish species, no new bird species was logged, and only one new fish species was added to my world list (Mountain Galaxias - caught from a tiny creek only a couple of feet wide)

Had a splendid time though

It looks like the Arctic air mass is going to reach this far. Nothing as brutal as up north but unusual for South Carolina where freezing at night is not too common and a day's high below freezing is very unusual, even in January and February. The temps shown are the day's high | low

record breaking cold in America, just for the globalists:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-25609411

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
