Fishing Regents Canal, London

Hence my advice to keep moving and do a spot of spinning. I've never felt unsafe along the regent's canal (I've never fished it) but a roving approach would avoid most problems. I think the greatest risk comes from anti-angling types. A spinning rod and a small net and you'll be fine. I did take some pictures on my phone today, but for some reason it is refusing to send them to my email account.

Paddington basin is dry and subject to some engineering. Amazing structure, it's only about 2 metres deep.

I'll ping photos when my phone starts to behave itself.

Thanks guys, decided to put it off until the Summer, i'll come up with some mates maybe my dad, i'm sure the fish are in there its just fishing their without having to worry about whos behind you. What we need is a club that will fish not so nice places in groups, numbers up to 10, your average mugger will target me, a 15 year old wondering up and down a canal by himself, but 10 people fishing along a bank, not so much.

Good luck if you do get round to it. I expect there are plenty of fish to be caught. It's a sad state of affairs when personal safety is such a worry just for a spot of day time fishing. Sadly it is the case though.

Hi All,

I started to spinning just now (befor was catfishing) and living in n15. Regents canal is not so far, and I heared that has some free sections, where you don't need to buy a day ticket just need to have a licence (licence already have). Do you know something about it? Which areas have free fishing options, or the whole canal is free? I can't finde any closer infos about this. Many thanks, Janos
