Flounder Weights

last night in a local match i caught a 43cm flounder

 

is there a download guide/graph were the weights of fish can be roughly gauged by length??

 

as they are in tope/shark fishing

no table for them.

i had a 36cm in a match at the weekend and it was 1lb 1oz. from previous experience i would put your fish at 2lb -2.25lbs.

My friend showed me a graph the other week with legnth-wiegh charts, and flounder wason there... Im sure it was devised by the lads on NESA, though i cant confirm that. If you like ill ask him what wieght the fish is. There supposed to be dead accurate!

Surely the condition would affect the weight, some are plump, and some are thin.

Exactly, we had a situation with bass this year where a long fish weighed in less than a shorter one.

I think the chart is for average fish and obviously wont account for thin/fatties.

Just been informed, a 43 cm flounder is 36 oz, which is over 2lbs. Cracker!

According to the new 2005 M.A.F.F measurements ruler, that's the new white one, now used in matches.

 

A Flounder of 43cm would weigh 34oz.

NOT very transferrable to flounder I suspect!
