Mmm i wonder if any flood aid is coming into the country from abroad, surely with all the help we send to other countries with flooding problems, some monetary funds could be given to the country for our flood victims.

Plenty of curry coming from india a return a goodwill jesture for the £280 million given by the uk in aid plus a few scraps left over from the lads working on space programe in india will be sent i doubht very much anything will be sent from anywhere andrew its just us in the uk a big soft touch .

The papers are full of the same nonsense.

I'm not about to defend foreign aid as a whole because a lot of it is indefensible, but to suggest that we as a wealthy first world nation need aid to deal with flooding is idiotic and comparing the plight of those affected by flooding in the south of England to that of the victims of headline making natural disasters in underdeveloped nations is offensive.

Phillipines - 5000 + dead and 3,000,000 displaced.

Somerset levels - 150 wet carpets and some farmers had to move their livestock to different fields

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Labours lead is expanding again barry tories pushed into 3rd place in latest byelection by the tories biggest enemy and thorn in there side UKIP and i think it will be UKIP which will send the torys to the dogs in the next general election the only thing which can save them now is tax cuts but they will do anything now to stay in power cameron is a lame duck he will end up like the failed IDS when he was tory leader .
