Labour party wins

barry, why would any party hold a referendom on membership of the EU if they won an election without a commitment in it's manifesto to do so: if it did it would be going against it's mandate.

that was in the last labour parties manifesto. Directly the Irish had the second vote on the e u membership, after inducements where offered, they voted no the first time, so the treaty should have been dead and buried, the very next day Brown reneged on the labour parties manifesto pledge by signing up to the Lisbon treaty. So the idea of a referendum was no more. Are we to assume that breaking manifesto pledges of that nature is the norm for the labour party?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

barry the treaty establishing a "Constitution for Europe'' was the treaty which the Labour manifesto referred to but it was rejected by France and the Netherlands and abandoned.

So Labour can claim that they did not break their promise of a referendum, but the "Lisbon Treaty" that Brown did sign was in content 90% the same as the previous failed "Constitution for Europe" so yes a little naughty.

But political parties can be a little naughty sometimes.

Smile they said life could get worse, I did and it was

There one thing sure they will make a much fairer society and put the 50% tax bracket stright back into place for starters the poorest in society have had there incomes reduced while the wealthest in society have had there income massively increased but thats the tory way .

paul.

So those who work harder are penalised. Drag everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

How is that fair?

I am afraid these socialist values only apply to others.

Take the great socialist Tony Benn

Lives in a lovely house called Stansgate Abbey on the shores of the Blackwater estuary in Essex.

His son Hillary s also a socialist MP and is campaigning hard for access for walkers along the sea shore, forcing it upon landowners whether they agree or not.

In fact there is hardly a stretch of the shore between the Thames Estuary and the Wash that doesn't have a right of access. Well, apart from one. Stansgate Abbey.

You try to walk along there and you will be met with notices informing you that this is private property, no trespassing, go away.

One rule for us and one rule for everybody else.

It's the Labour way.

All,

The British Labour Party, have been so deeply transformed in recent years that it is no longer possible to describe them ideologically as 'social democratic', and claim that this ideological shift has put new strains on the party's traditional relationship with the trade unions. Long gone are the old guard "democratic socialist".

Toryism in contemporary times may be referred to as High Tories as Tory values and Conservative values differ. The actual political party is the Conservative Party (that's a question)?

In "2014 British Government 101" there seems to be little difference. Much like our system it is just a matter of the pot calling the kettle black.

Don't forget the flood defences!

"Environment secretary Hilary Benn has come under fire after flood defences outside his family's home were shored up while a historic harbour nearby is being abandoned to the sea.

Last October 100 concrete tiles were replaced on a sea wall outside the Essex farm belonging to Mr Benn's father Tony, after they were ripped off by the tide.

But at the same time the Environment Agency decided to abandon to the sea the harbour at Southwold and parts of the nearby village of Walberswick, 70 miles up the coast on the Blyth estuary in Suffolk.

Scroll down for more ...

Tony Benn's house in Suffolk had its coastal wall repaired with public funds

The campaign to save land around the village of Walberswick is supported by radio presenter Simon Mayo, film director Paul Greengrass, and Richard Curtis, who wrote Blackadder and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Stansgate Abbey farm, the Benn family seat on the Blackwater estuary, is currently occupied by veteran left-winger Tony Benn, former Cabinet minister and Labour leadership contender.

Last week ramblers complained there was no public right of way across it - despite the fact that Hilary Benn's department wants to open all of England's coastline to walkers.

Socialism in France is very different to the labour parties version in the UK and even then it comes with problems

http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2014_02_16/Francois-Hollande-s-approval-rating-sets-new-anti-record-9232/

I don't get too involved in French politics (I don't understand them well enough)

What I cannot abide is the hypocrisy of the UK labour party who say one thing and do another,

Just so you know, I don't like the Torys much, can't stand the Liberal Democrats and UKIP need to be consigned to the dustbin of history as soon as possible.

The political situation in the UK is appalling and the idea of democracy is a joke.

All that is sadly true Phone. We have very little real choice in our politics now, unless you are attracted to the more extreme parties. I class myself as a socialist (with a small 's'), but I don't recognise our so called Labour Party. It's all a throwback to the 80s, and the drastic changes imposed back then. Even Maggie Thatcher said her greatest legacy was Tony Blair, and 'New' Labour. But we still get all this bickering about which party is best for the people or the country, (the two things are not always the same). In reality there is little to choose between the two main parties, Labour is now just a watered down version of the Tory party.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
