We all die sometime. The guy didnt do so bad. Beautiful girlfriends and a fantastic footballer in his day.

 

The sad thing for me was how his impending death became a soap opera. The media appear to have no shame.

I can't get angry about Best. He had an addiction that he couldnt break, even though it would eventually kill him. I heard someone on another forum suggest that it was a waste of a good body part, but none of us are in a position to make those kind of moral judgements other than to say 'there but for the grace of God.....'

 

He was to some, the greatest attacking player ever....even more so than Pele and whilst I don't agree, he was certainly the greatest british footballer ever. A real genius.

 

Since his life became such a media circus I truly do hope that he does rest in peace.

Cannot fault his football,his ball control was as good as Gazzers!! He just turned to the dark side later on thats all :(
