Winter Boots From Lidl's

Good for the money.

Not tried n tested yet so can't say how tuff they are.

I have to say a matee of mine gave me a pair as he bought the wrong size. I used them ONCE in the pouring rain and the uppers came away from the sole!!

Never had any trouble with mine still wearing a pair 2 years old, wear them every day to go up the canal and fishing weekends.

Bought mine on monday morningand they burst today the upper part has come away from the sole.Pity they looked fairly well made when i bought them.

If anyone is thinking of buying winter boots make sure they have padding inside otherwise your feet will get cold very quickly. Especially as the winter sets in and the ground get frozen..

What you really really want is RIGGER BOOTS mine are sheepskin lined steel toe capped waterproof comfy and warm. You can buy them from most tool hire shops, expect to pay about £25.

i wore my Lidl's boots on sunday to a fishing match they where ok ,but i didn't do much walking, time will tell if they hold together,but i will be looking out for those rigger boots just in case !.

Do you have to treat them to make them waterproof? If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they look like they're made of ordinary tan boot leather that lets in water to me - unless they've got some sort of waterproof lining?

Mine dont let in water, I treat with ordinary wax shoe polish, but no doubt a specialist water proof polich can be used

problem with riggers is the toe caps. the steel will remain cold
