Yes....but 'only' the River Teme, is that where you want to fish?

later....

Did a google search on it and the farm doesn't have its own lake!!! Good news for ypu, the Teme is a beautiful river and is noted for it's barbel chub and also grayling.. but the banks are VERY steep and potentially dangerous, especially in wet weather, if you have children then it's worth noting.

If you have never fished the Teme then you are in for a treat, but the barbel do fight very hard so strong tackle is essential, I can help with more info if you would like,

fished the Teme last Friday near Clifton on the BAA stretch at Broadwas with my son, had 3 barbel and Anthony had just the one..but at 10.7 and falling in he thought it was worth it :D

Hi

Thanks for your reply but are you sure you mean the same Pitlands because I have their website as www.pitlandsfarm.co.uk and they have 2 lakes which can be seen from the lodges? I know I'm not from your area but the owner has emailed me with various pictures of the lakes so now I'm confused!! Although, I have never tried river fishing, I've been tempted to try.

Regards

Hi Sue

Had a closer look at the website, and yes I can see the pics of the lake but there is no mention of fishing them, there is only details on the river Teme?

Still if there is no still water fishing at the farm, there are other options for nearby lakes I guess, but the river fishing is fantastic, and amongst the most beautiful of scenery.

If you want to fish the river, it is a bit specialised in that you will need to have the correct tackle to get the best experience from the Teme. There are so many barbel in the river, it would be difficult to avoid then, and even the small ones fight very hard.

Like I said I would be happy to help in any way, one thing I am sure of you will not be disappointed with the Teme and the surrounding area .

Hi

Thanks for the info. I have had an email to say there is at least carp to 20lb in one lake. Liked the look of the website.

Thanks

Sue
