Yes but i turned all the live tiles off on mine ,when your connection hovers between 56k and 1.2 mb you need all the connections off but one

My sister loves them and even uses her servers browser because it has live feeds updating stuff (news ,pictures etc) i cannot abide anything that isnt under my control and find them annoying and bloody distracting

She has that infinity stuff so can afford to waste bandwidth

lol this is true.

despite what the tech giants seem to think; its simply not the case that people have good enough connection to handle constant data and huge downloads!

Electronic Arts will be finding that out real soon as their Origin service will no longer support dvd versions of software from April 8th! They are basically only releasing content digitally!! when you consider that the recent Titanfall pc game was 40 gig!! its simply not going to be the case that a lot of users will be able to download and that!

Thats not good just updating some games takes me days ,at least steam can reconnect and carry on can origin?

yeah it can as long as the download has started.

seems they have clarified a little and basically it means the origin store wont be supplying hard copy versions any more, just digital. I presume therefore places like amazon etc will still stock the dvd versions that you can install from disk.

they reckon it will effect about 1% of current origin users who purchased a hard copy version via the origin store.
