WEST HOUSE FISHING REPORT 25/3/13

An excellent weeks fishing. The nicer weather has certainly improved the fishing. Warmer temperatures and lighter winds have dramatically increased catch returns. The fish are all high in the water with most being caught in the top 3 feet. Best methods have been nymphs and buzzers.

Chris Micallef of Stockton caught 27 fish the best at 6lb most fish being taken on small nymphs fished in the surface film. Lee Cartmell and his partner caught a total of 21 fish in a four hour session. Ernie Craster from Norton stuck on one peg and landed a total of 23 fish on a variety of flies fished under the indicator.. Season ticket holder Dave Watson and his brother had an excellent session landing 23 fish between them the best a 10lb Rainbow. Peter Hutchinson of Brompton caught a 15lb Rainbow on a small black buzzer which took him over 20 minutes to bring it to the net. The rod average is 7.1 at the moment
