Time to resurrect this topic maybe.

 

A Wheatear, (migrating in for the summer) it was very close to where I parked for a walk yesterday and was still around when I got back, so I got the camera out.

Well with the resounding success of my last pic, I'll offer you this one, it's Bog Beacon - Mitrula Paludosa - it's fairly widespread in the UK (and elsewhere) but by no means common. Sizewise, think matchstick with fat head.
