I was up in the Lake district the other week, & whilst the weather wasn't great it did allow me to try some dramatic shots.

Rainbow Lorikeets in next doors apple tree. The stick you see has a shiny pan lid hanging on it to scare the birds away. you can see how well it isn't working.

Good photo, Clifftop.

Was surfing the 'net' and heard a noise just outside the window. Result, one kookaburra landed on the tailgate of the 4wd. The softness of the photo was because it was taken through the fly wire.

Good stuff mate. love kookaburras, we don't have them on the peninsula but i do see the occasional kingfisher of which i am also a fan of.
