Thanks guys. Yes, it is indeed a beast. Its a Mulloway aka Jew fish, Butterfish. I spent 8 days camping (sleeping on the ground in my swag) on our Far West Coast (of South Australia that is). A mate and I went up 2 or 3 days before our other mates and we caught a heap a Australian Salmon to use as bait when we moved on to the main fishing area. The Salmon we caught were between 1.5 and 4 KG so they're a big bait for big fish. Had a ball. We hire 2 quad bikes between the 5 of us and whoa, were they worth every cent. That big Mully was caught on the first evening at the main camp area (Yalata). Unfortunately the weather moved away and everything just glassed off. Not the best conditions for getting the biggn's but good for photo's.

Here's a couple more. The other fellas have more fish photo's but I got most of the land/seascape's.

Campsite. Got as hot as hell and the flies where think as can be but I loved every minute of it.

Great shots HB, as ever. I like the toilet roll dispenser on the back of the quad bike. Nice touch. I'd certainly want some of that handy if I went airborne on one of those things.

Westie.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.

G-day Snatcher. Yea mate, I try livin large when possible. I dont go fishing locally much at all but I love my fishing, camping and drinking trips :P . Probably only do one or three of that sort of thing per year but they're great. Cant help ya with an East Coast charter but you might want to get acquainted with Fishnet. It an Eastern States based internet forum (I didnt like the way it's set out plus most of the talk is about Victoria and New South Wales). I'm sure that if you ask around there someone could point you in the right direction.

Re-meet up. I'd love to mate. My 4x4 is off the road permanently now but depending on how far into the year we're looking at I might have something else by then. Anyway, will keep an ear out for ya.

Mick.
