ayjay, your close up/macro shot have always been superb and these are no exception, wonderful to look at and I am glad the "photo of the day" has been resurrected. :)

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Cullercoats Harbour 03 Feb 2014   It was a nice morning to take the camera out     John

A bit of a handfull !

Time to resurrect this topic maybe.   A Wheatear, (migrating in for the summer) it was very close to where I parked for a walk yesterday and was still around when I got back, so I got the camera out

Hear, hear. He truly is the maestro of the macro.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Judy, great cloud formation in shot #2, just like cotton wool balls.

Looks like an Emperor Den, (ovipositing).

I too like your harbour shot Snatcher and I see from the exif that you've been playing with the long exposures. B)

Judy there's some fluff in your camera which is showing up as big white cotton wool balls in the (nice) pics.

Gotta love them owls Janet. Dd you ever see it open it's mouth? You wouldn't believe how big they are until you see it. :o

My sincere thanks for all your kind comments re my pics.
