nothing wrong with that last shot to me ollie, the peeps are sharp, and the sea offers some relief, good shot allround! as for the squirrel, do they usually have such tree-ish back ends round your way?

Got these shots a few days ago, petals were blowing past like snow. They are all gone now, so all I have are pics :)

:) Well spotted/pointed out Jeepster, the tree & the squirrel do seem to blend into one another, 'tis a fine shot though Ollie, as for the other, I'm not getting a calming mill pond feeling off the two guys rowing.

Nice shots Den, I like the way you've displayed them. Excuse my ignorance, but are they Hawthorne trees??

I hope the rest of you guys & gals have had as warm a day as we have in the NE.

Just couldn't resist a shot of the Daffs soaking up the rays.

Great shot of the Flyfisherman Rabster, that had me running to the garage for the fly gear!

Rabs, they are Blackthorn trees. I was also going to include a closeup of a few individual blosoms, but somehow seemed to have "missed that bit out" :)

Not to clear from the pic, but it was actually "snowing petals"

Peter, great lighting :)

Cheers Jeepster and rabster for the comments on my pics :D

Yes that the normal color for squirrels around my are and your right they do blend into the trees very well, we get loads of them running about the roads and parks around my way and they come quite close to you so I'm hopeing to get a few more shots of them maybe get a little closer and be more prepared then when i was then! also on the rowing pic....there should be a regatta soon so i hope to grab a few nice shots from that aswel!

all in all though glad you liked them :)

Thanks Den,

Having recently got to grips (eventually) with the benefits of the various light metering modes, its great to see the difference it can make to your shots.
