The 2 hr wait was worth it for me to get this shot. Although the 8 hr wait for the guy to get sailing again must have been a chore.

Before I go any further guys, these shots have been cropped & sharpened to death, so sorry for the quality.

 

For a couple of weeks we've had an (almost) phantom Squirrel in the garden. You know the type of thing a 2 sec glance as he disappears off the birdtable, or a grey flash as he shoots over the fence, all very frustrating!

 

Well today he put on a fine show & stayed around long enough for me to get a photo or two of the little devil. Unfortunately my D70 only has a 18-70 lens on it, hence the very hefty cropping plus I had to take the pics through the kitchen window. Nevertheless I'm just chuffed to get him in the view finder....so if anybody has a bargain 200mm lens to fit my Nikon I promise I'll give it a loving home with lots of love & attention.

Got this bee eater using the zoom lens from 30 metres away, and had to sharpen the image.

Here are a couple i shot whilst out trying to get a few before the end of the comp

This one is lots of fun with when the pubs start letting out as its in the middle of the city centre

 

and i caught this one munching on the local delicacy mussel
