Having seen Rooney play quite a few times now, I'd like to support Rabbit's view that we should celebrate the lad's footballing talents, rather than regurgitate tabloid cobblers as opinion.

 

Wayne Rooney is something very, very special on a football pitch. His workrate is incredible, his desire to win is second-to-none, his vision and ability to 'read' a game are far beyond his years, and the crackle of excitement that runs through the crowd when he's on the ball is incredible.

 

And what do we do? Criticise his looks and his girlfriend.
