What Anti Virus Software Do You Use?

I thought it would be worth getting peoples thoughts on various "security" issues. Then we can put a sticky thread on here giving an outline of good security habits.

I'm currently using AVG Professional 7.1

I liked AVG free so decided to pay the developer some money. They've done a good job so they deserve some of my hard earned. (I guess they've also saved me a fortune from not having to deal with the effects of viruses!!)

So what do you use, on what Operating System, plus points, minus points?

I use AVG on my laptop, but have Norton on my desktop PC. I've had it on there for years and it's always done well for me, although I often see it getting slated on forums.

AVG Free edition.

We used to be heavily into online gaming where pings are so important. After trying several different ones we settled on AVG as the one that did least to slow down the PC while still offering good protection.

If I think I have a problem I run the trend micro online scan for a second opinion. The reason for this is my son often downloads the silly little java games and they seem to be stuffed with hidden nasties but you "accept" them so they are not flagged by AVG.

The online scan pulls these up as it is not expecting them to be there. The Trend scan also now includes a spyware scan that seems to be pretty effective.
