50-11 common from Wingham!

Recommended Posts

Wingham Carp Lake has today produced its 2nd 50lb+ carp in less than 12 months and this time it's a common!

It went 50-11 and was caught by Phil Woodcock from Wigan. I was sitting with Phil just yesterday and Phil was looking forward to his first 40lb common, having already caught seven 40lb+ mirrors from Wingham including the coveted Big Plated Mirror. He still hasn't caught a 40lb common!

Until I get the pictures I can't be sure which common it is, but the Carp Lake has already produced 5 different 40+ commons to 47-08.

More details to follow.

It might surprise some of you, but like Andrew, I'm not into carp ;) . The big ones I see are usually bloated gut buckets, but that is one magnificent looking common Steve, congatulations.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
