The MV Karen is based at Scrabster, the most northerly Port on the UK mainland which is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Scotland.

The MV Karen is a 50 foot vessel which is licensed to accommodate up to 12 anglers on a trip. She is fully kitted out with all the modern equipment you would expect to find on any MCA registered charter vessel such as VHSx2, Radar, GPS, Fish Finder and full compliment of safety equipment. She also has a full galley – With coffee, tea and a light lunch supplied during your trip.

The MV Karen also has below deck bunks if you wish accommodation or would like to charter her for more than one day at a time for an extended trip of a lifetime - Please feel free to contact us regarding this.

Likely catches range from Dogfish to massive Porbeagle shark with Cod, Coalies, Ling, Wrasse and many other species in between… along with the chance of a Halibut or even a Golden Haddock...

Scrabster is one of the most lucrative ports for large Porbeagle Shark captures and the MV Karen wishes to keep it that way for the benefit of everyone. As such, we operate a strict tag and release policy in conjunction with the UK Shark Tagging Programme. If you want to kill sharks then please find another boat to fish from.
