hello again and what fish...

Haven't been on this site for months! Haven't been fishing for months either. Anyway, I've decided gone cold turkey and I'm giving in! Thinking about going 28th/29th. Whats everyone mainly fishing for at the moment? Really want to get some fat perch.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

I was thinking chooped worm and caster fed often to start, then a lob on top? Or would that be too much feed with it being cold?

Thanks,

Stefan

(P.S. It's good to get back into things!!!!!)

Welcome back Stefan.

I can't offer any direct help but threads with replies seem to get the most replies so .....

Hi i dont know where you are or what your fishing (lake river canal)

If i use choppy at this time of year i virtually lquidise the worm so its more scent than substance and use redworm on the hook. Even casters can fill them up a bit quick if theres not many around

alternativel just a big lob on a lead in a likely looking hole on a roving approach.

everytime i catch a fish i'm lucky when i blank i'm a hopeless angler.

Again it does depend on where you're fishing.

I'm on carp ponds for perch at the moment and agree with terry t shirt. Don't introduce too much bait. I'm using flavoured maggots to draw in prey fish and then a simple worm as bait. Float or ledger, usually one of each. It's old advice I was given on this site last year and has certainly worked for me.

Good luck and welcome back.
