I have recieved a certificate this xmas stating that i now have an Almond Tree in spain, someone has paid £15 for this for me and i have to pay £15 pa for its upkeep. Apparently i will recieve 2 photos of the tree and a kilo of the Almonds it bears Dave

 

I have to admire this as one of the best scams I have heard of in a long time. You only have to live close to an almond plantation, take a couple of pictures of an almond tree, "sell it" to a couple of thousand people for 15 quid. Go to the plantation owner and buy a couple of tonnes of almonds off him at pence/kg. Parcel them up send them out to the punters and pick up another 15 quid/pa from each for your trouble! He is probably smart enough to be paying local kids to pack the almonds and paying them next to nothing for the job.

 

I wish I had thought of that one!
