Currently just have the built in zoom the on my camera (fuji finepix S5500), but I'm hoping to purchase a new camera in the next few weeks so would be interesting to see what people come back with.

Oh, went to log into that site of yours but they wanted to much info so I left it

Cant honeslty remember what they ask for but I can say they are legit Lol. I got my first ever payment the other month. $75 :)

Do people prefer to have a wide angle lense or telephoto as their walk around ?

Hmmmm, they asked for a copy of my passport and driving licence, and this was before even seeing the site! Haven't come across that before so logged straight out :o

I don't know about the lenses, I'd be tempted to take both as you never know what your going to come across, it also depends on where your going. Wide open spaces, would probably take a wide, lots of wide life and birds the tele-photo.

I take my macro everywhere I go as well as my pol filter.

I didnt have to give out those details Lol. Mabey they have tightened things up ? Some people would steal other peoples images and pass them off as there own. I know that I get paid via paypal.

Depends what type of photography you're mainly interested in.

Landscapes - 28-200

Wildlife - 70-400 (plus if you get a 28-70 later, you'll have all the lenses you normally need in just two).

I tend to think that a 28-80 zoom is about right for most general stuff. Covers wide angle for scenic / lanscape stuff and a tiny bit of zoom. Anything smaller / distant and you want a bigger zoom or better still a fixed lense. For animal stuff I'd opt for at least a 300mm or for smaller further away stuff then go for 500 or more. I have yet to get myself a digital zoom slr but I would imagine the capabilities are much better so that you can digitally zoom to quite some degree and negate the need for very big lenses (???).
