Just wondered if anyone has used the GIMP.

 

Free, open source software and just as with Open Office being very similar to Microsoft Office, the GIMP is very similar to Photoshop with two exceptions

 

- free for the downloading

 

- not as easy to learn (so I'm told)

 

Given the cost of Photoshop, this one looks very interesting and I'm hoping some on here have experience with it.

Compiled and ready to run versions available pretty widely. All are free.

 

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html is one.
