What a self serving prat that man is. He want's a name for the project, how about 'Stuff everybody else carp are the only things that matter'.

 

 

Any volunteers for my new project? I will be training otters in the use of wire cutters and chainsaws, and re homing them in and around every new 'carp fishery' that they open.

To some extent he should be applauded, however many organisations have been started only to founder on the rock that is angler apathy and therin lies the crux of the matter there are many reasons and theories as to why angler are so apathetic and to list them all would make this a long and tedious post the subject matter of which has been covered many times in similar threads in the past.

Sorry Alan but I couldn't disagree with you more.

If the scheme was called 'saving carp fishing', it would be more honest.

If he was concerned about just 'saving fishing', then the plan wouldn't be so specific. It's purely a self serving advert to promote the business he's in, with no thought to the rest of the angling community, or the environment in general.

 

It's a pity I don't use his gear, then at least I could stop buying it.
