You can get 350D compatible batteries from 7dayshop.com for £9.99 VAT free + postage, worth a look I would think!

PS Tip if you use the teleconverter use manual focus; I learned from my mistakes.

Thanks for the tip, I'm sure I'll be making quite a few mistakes of my own as well :D

manual are for wimps, get out there and get snapping!

i've never read a manual for anything, including the kit i use for work, and it's surprising how quickly you figure it out under pressure ;)

I've snapped a few playing around but I need the manual. My brain doesn't have the capacity to pick things up that quickly on its own! Unless I know what all the buttons, knobs and twisty things do I've had it

You brain power is obviously far superior than mine eh Jeeps!:lol::P

Yeah that's what I don't have, I'm what you would probably call a touch Scatty  hey ho, we're all different. The problem with me though (and I've done this countless times) is that I'll spend a week reading this sodding manual and won't have a clue what any of it means afterwards

that's why it's better to get yourself familiar with the basics, and then get out there and start taking photos, with digital it matters not how good they are at first, long as you remember why they're good when they are!

Yeah, it's just so different from my Fuji. Ok they look the same, but this is an SLR and completely different to what I'm used to. Sounds pathetic but I'm so scared of it not coming together, of relying so much on the auto stuff before that it turns out that I'm really not very good. Crazy really! All will be fine.

Anyway, why haven't you posted anything on here? You can't be lacking in subjects with those glorious views of yours :)

Gotta agree with Jeeps (blimey fella, must be yer second this week..:D ) get it on manual, work out how to change aperure, shutter and iso and get out and shoot..

You could always set picture quality to RAW..and do all your exposure as post processing..:D

i don't take many pics, i should really, went on two walks this week, one through beautiful countryside, one on the beach at charmouth (where i got a cracking fossil) took the camera on both and didn't take a single frame :( now if i had a nice 350d like yours it might be different :))

I'll have another read tonight (can't help myself!) and will get out tomorrow.

I'll pop to the local church as it's really quiet (funny that) and there are birds everywhere.

If I can get the software installed tonight I'll try and post something tomorrow, although knowing how self critical I can be don't hold your breath!!
