BTW: Sounds like a real good cure for "in"somnia.

Cricket is my favourite spectator sport, as it is Peggy's (she can't help being a Kent supporter!).

Admittedly in the wrong weather conditions it can get monotanous, but it can also be very exciting as in the cliffhangers in the recent Ashes series! Additionally, it's a technical game with a lot of interesting tactical points.

I remember in the 70s watching the Miami Dolphins play American Football and being thrilled by their quarterback, Dan Marino, in particular.

Have I got his name and position right?

Good luck to the Panthers, although I will be rooting for the Broncos who have just seen off the Patriots

Still remember the great quarter-back play of John Elway - especially in the year Denver won the Superbowl

Got it right, Steve. Dan Marino is one of Newt's all time favorites too. I have to admit a fondness for Brett Favre from the Green Bay Packers even though this year has been very disappointing for himself as well as the Packer fans (cheeseheads that we are). :( I'm also enjoying the new up-and-coming quarterbacks. Peyton Manning comes to mind. The Colts play the early game today followed by the Panthers. It's going to be an entire day of sports in the Vail household which will be rounded off my Professional Bull Riding this evening. Too bad Newt has to work this afternoon (ok, I'll tape the Panther game for him being that his birthday is just around the corner).

I'm back. Congrats to the Panthers, and good luck to them on Sunday. Man, I love watching the playoffs, even if only to root against a team I hate. Like Da Bears. Still can't believe those dummies used single coverage on Steve Smith. Anyhow, Seattle is beatable, especially with Alexander injured.

Most definitely - especially if the Panther play as well as they did Sunday. With Duke and the Panthers playing this weekend, we are most definitely in hog heaven. :clap2::clap::1a:
