I really love looking at your photos - some great ones so far.

 

I would really be interested to hear how the photos were taken - e.g. what shutter speed, what aperture value, the lens setting, and so on.

That's a good point re giving details of camera settings. Steve Randles did add EXIF data to quite a few of the photos in the Photo of the Day thread, but I'm sure it was time consuming for him & I suppose it's something we need to all try & get in the habit of doing. What does anyone else reckon?

 

Hitherto I shall try & remember to do so.

I'll have a blitz on them tomorrow and get them all upto date as much as possible.

 

I might make an updated post about extracting the info etc etc tomorrow also..

 

EXIF info in this setting here is vital I think, to help spread the knowledge, but you also have to add into the equation that some snappers here are using compacts/point and shoot, some are using DSLR's, so results will be varied. For example if one lot of settings are used and posted, but the poster forgets to say he/she used an ND filter...then it gets complicated.
