having just sneaked into this party who is going?? anone from the midlands?

Terry,

Myself and Malc are both from the midlands and travelling down together, his turn to drive.

Ferret is from Leicester but will be going from Somerset as he will visiting his parents.

You will have a great day at a great fishery.

We are meeting at Asda in Eastleigh for breakfast, well a lot of us will be so you could meet there. Breakfast is served from 8 0'clock and it is about 10 mins from the fishery.

Another place available, I'm afraid....

I'm seriously virusey and mostly laid up in bed, so can't see myself making it.

Anyone interested please contact Seph.

Steve Walker has now nabbed my place.

Godd luck guys + gals. Have a great day, and plenty of trip reports and pics please :)

Cheers Glenn. I should apologise to everyone in advance, if the weather wasn't going to be dire before I signed up it certainly is now!

Oh look. It's started snowing :headhurt:

preparing the arctic gear as we speak anyone knbow where i can hire a husky

It's probably going to be the warmest day of the week, although a little breezy. 5 degrees in the afternoon, but will be 1/-1 in the afternoon with the windchill according to Metcheck. So don't forget your gloves.

At least the rain should not pay us a visit even if Leon is going.

How little you know!

ps Tidied up my tackle bag this morning and I'm trying to resist the temptation to pack bits 'just in case'.

Somehow a fixed spool reel found it's way in, but I've so far resisted packing swim-feeders (and I daren't look over to where my lure rods sit forlornly).

Maybe I should take one or two wagglers .................. Noooooo!

It's gotta be stick floats and nothing else, otherwise I'll be struggling with a too heavy bag, staying too long in unproductive swims.

The washing machine is making funny noises as my fishing waistcoat spins around. I'm sure that I emptied all of my pockets ! :(

But supposing I see fish moving beneath the far bank ..............

......by Friday morning 850mb temperatures have dropped to between -8C and -10C across most parts of England and Wales, as a result any precipitation on Friday is likely to be of snow. So expect this transition and change from rain on Thursday to the likelyhood of snow into Friday.

Then things become very interesting indeed

I may just pack the brolly then in case.

As for gear Leon, you can drive the whole length of the fishery so you can always leave stuff in the car and it will only be a few yards away at any time. Another plus about the fishery.
